Strategic Account Manager

SUMMARY

Account Executives are responsible for selling Simply Bits products and services to new customers. Their primary role is to qualify prospective customers, assess their needs, propose Simply Bits solutions, and close new business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales revenue and market share through selling Simply Bits products and services to existing and new customers
  • Meet with and coordinate with assigned Account Manager for renewals and day to day actions
  • Create a pipeline of prospective new customers through cold and warm lead generation
  • Work with clients to understand and identify their strategic vision, objectives, and needs while aligning our products and services where business opportunities exist
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and deliver a high level of customer care
  • Create and present proposals, presentations, product demonstrations, and coordinate the terms of the sale
  • Work with support and sales engineering teams to determine the best solution for our customers
  • Create and submit accurate and timely sales orders
  • Help Marketing identify new markets for Simply Bits services
  • Create personalized direct response sales materials
  • Pursue large, strategic accounts and more complex sales opportunities
  • Represent Simply Bits in some events and activities
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • College Degree preferred
  • Quantifiable and relevant experience and success in a quota carrying sales position
  • Minimum of 15 years outside B2B sales experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Entrepreneurial experience and goal-driven focus
  • Strong customer-facing skills selling to an executive, owner, and decision maker with a consultative approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated fearless cold calling, prospecting, and business acumen
  • Demonstrated sales quota achievement and skill in closing sales opportunities
  • Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating excellent time management skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a CRM application
  • Knowledge or experience in the telecommunications industry a plus
  • Valid Driver's License

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Requires the ability to record and deliver information, explain procedures, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of correspondence, reports, forms, articles, proposals, and contracts. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, forms, evaluations; and to respond to common inquiries or complaints using prescribed formats and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style. Ability to effectively present information to a variety of diverse audiences with poise, voice control, and confidence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; to add and subtract; multiply and divide; utilize decimals and percentages; and to apply the principles of descriptive statistics, statistical inference and statistical theory. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
