The FaxToGo (FTG) Desktop Client is an application designed to allow you to fax directly from an application such as MS-Word. The FTG Desktop Client functions as a printer driver. You select it from the menu of available printers. The application will convert the document to PDF format and then provide you an interface to enter the phone number for the intended recipient. Most customers can install the application and it will work just fine. However, for those customers with managed computers there are some requirements that you need to be aware of.
The application must be installed from an administrator login, especially for Windows Vista and Windows 7;
Outbound TCP port 25 must be opened on your network, or an explicit allow rule for mail.faxtogo.com must be entered in your firewall.
