Hub Home FAQ
Is everyone eligible to be a Hub Home?
Unfortunately, no. While we welcome all those interested to fill out the form, homes with an ideal network service profile will be chosen as a Hub Home. The structure of your home will be surveyed to ensure it meets requirements for our Hub Home Program.
What if I fill out the form but I’m not selected to be a Hub Home?
We appreciate those eager to be involved in the Hub Home Program and help expand our network in your neighborhood. Since not all homes will qualify, we will recommend another Internet plan, if available, and let you know when there is a Hub Home opportunity.
Will my Electric Bill spike as a Hub Home?
Good news! While your Hub Home is transmitting and receiving data, our low-power equipment only uses roughly the same amount of power as two 100-watt light bulbs, so you shouldn’t see a difference in your electric bill.
What is my responsibility as a Hub Home?
As a Hub Home, you will help Simply Bits coordinate the initial installation, routine maintenance, and/or periodic service and equipment upgrades. Also, you will let us know of any home improvements or activity that might create interference with our Internet service delivery to you and your neighbors. We will handle the rest!
As a Hub Home, is our information private?
Yes! Don’t worry, you and your neighbors Internet connections are separate and private. Being a Hub Home doesn’t expose your data to others. You have complete privacy with the Hub Home Program.
How big is the equipment that will go on my house?
Hub Home installations may vary with the type and quantity of equipment. All equipment will be identified prior to any signed agreement and installation. Equipment examples above.
