How to access a computer at home from a remote location?

The computer in your apartment is isolated from the Internet and assigned an IP address that is not accessible from the outside world. This design helps protect your computer from those of your neighbors who may be infected with a computer virus or some other form of malware, spyware, etc. While this design helps protect you from getting infected it has one limitation - you cannot access your computer remotely.

One method that can be used is Ultra VNC's NAT2NAT technology. Simply Bits does not endorse, promote or support the use of this product. We are providing this information as a courtesy to our customers. Instructions on how to setup NAT2NAT can be found on various websites.
