How do I find the MAC address of my wireless network card?

Windows XP

  • Click the START button and choose the RUN command from the menu;
  • Type CMD in the blank box. Click OK;
  • In the command prompt window, type IPCONFIG /ALL;
  • The MAC Address will be listed as the Physical Address under the wireless adapter section.

Windows Vista

  • Click the START button and select SEARCH;
  • Type CMD in the blank box. Hit Enter;
  • In the command prompt window, type IPCONFIG /ALL;
  • The MAC Address will be listed as the Physical Address under the wireless adapter section.

Windows 8

  • Right click on the START button and select RUN.
  • Type CMD in the blank box. Hit Enter.
  • In the command prompt window, type IPCONFIG /ALL.

Macintosh OSX 10.1 - 10.4

  • From the Apple menu, choose SYSTEM PREFERENCES > NETWORK;
  • Choose AIRPORT on the SHOW menu;
  • The MAC address is displayed on the Airport tab next to Airport ID

Macintosh OS 10.5 - 10.6

  • From the Apple menu, choose SYSTEM PREFERENCES > NETWORK;
  • Select Airport from the left list and then click on the ADVANCED button;
  • On the Airport tab the MAC address should be listed next to Airport ID.

Mac OSX 10.7 - 10.10

  • From the Apple menu, choose SYSTEM PREFERENCES > NETWORK.
  • Select the Wi-Fi adapter on the left column and click on the ADVANCED button.
